Abstract
This study looked into the connection between organizational resilience and worker competence planning for fast-food businesses in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. The study used a cross-sectional research design. From the field survey, sixty-three (63) copies of the questionnaire were obtained and examined. The statistical tool Spearman’s Rank Order Correlation Coefficient was used to determine the link between the variables. The research found a strong link between worker competency planning and the organizational resilience indicators (situation awareness and vulnerability management). It is concluded that the resilience of fast-food businesses in Bayelsa State is greatly influenced by worker competence planning. The study suggested that the examined fast-food businesses need to close their knowledge and skill gaps in order to increase their organization’s competitiveness.
